We can build any piece you require, based on photographs (please be aware of possible copyright infringements), unique designs which you may provide, or we can work with you to design tailored piece(s) to your requirements.

The following outlines the process that we generally use when a client commissions a piece:

1) We gather your specifications and requests for a particular item(s), including: type of wood(s); dimensions; finish(es); hardware; budget; timeframes; delivery requirements; any necessary storage requirements; and any further unique request(s).

2) Based upon the specifications we build a detailed quotation, which you will receive in writing.   NB: the quotation is based on the provided specifications. If you change these specification during the design/build stages, the quote may need to be revised.

3) Upon acceptance of the quote, we will request a 50% deposit to secure the work schedule, at which point we will give you an estimated delivery date (based on agreed timeframe specifications, as required).

4) For a further nominal fee, we can provide a unique user login to this website allowing access to a private area where periodic pictorial updates of your piece(s) may be viewed  (please ask for further details).

5) When completed, we can either have the piece(s) delivered directly to you, or you may elect to pick up the piece(s) from our workshop. Please advise us of any specific requirements for installation during the initial stages.

 

Other Notes 

Any copyright of the designs we complete in-house remain the property of Burns Furniture, unless you'd like to purchase this separately (please ask for further details).

Please note that our quotes are only valid for a period of 30 days from the date stated within the quotation.

Unfortunately we cannot begin any work until the required deposit has been provided.
